Since returning to school, my daily exercise has involved more hiking outside than going to the gym. I still try to hit the gym a couple of days a week, but it’s twenty minutes away compared to local trails only a few minutes up the road. Most days now, I am hiking on these trails. I think part of it comes from having really enjoyed exercising outside while I was living away this past summer. I miss taking walks in the park in El Salvador and looking at the volcano, but this is pretty special also.
This was made in Clinton, Massachusetts in the pond just below the Wachusett Dam.
This image was made with my iPhone while hiking along this brook. This is one of my favorite trails.
I made this image last weekend for a friend down in the Dominican Republic who had never seen a beaver lodge before. Here, you see them in just about any body of water. This one is a few miles from our house. I took his early in the morning hoping to see its occupant swimming around the pond. Unfortunately, while I got up early with my camera, he decided to sleep in.
Beautiful lights line the walkway in the center of Comm Ave (Commonwealth Avenue) in Boston’s Back Bay.
This is for Teri from Images by Dashfield. She had commented on how much she liked Commonwealth Avenue during her visit to Boston. It is a great street with an island up the middle that is line with trees and has several statues and monuments. I’m guessing that she never saw it the way it looked on New Years night.
Note: “Comm Ave” is Boston slang for this street.
