Some signs along the streets of Portland, Maine.
For those of you familiar with the 1980s (and early 90s) U.S. television show, this is the pub on which it is based. Someone who follows Milford Street suggested I visit here. I think they wanted me to go inside, but I don’t get to visit many bars these days.
Between Boston’s Faneuil Hall and Haymarket is Union Street with Marshall Street off to one side, winding crookedly to what was once the docks. These are some of Boston’s oldest streets and have a number of pubs to grab a pint and perhaps a meal. The Union Oyster is especially popular with the tourists.
A few weeks ago, we took our nieces to the Chocolate Bar at Boston’s Langham Hotel. Every Saturday from September to May, they set up an unbelievable array of chocolate treats. This year, they are featuring chocolate dishes from around the globe.
Over the next week, I’d like to share some photos that were taken in Provincetown Massachusetts, at the tip of Cape Cod. We headed down to the Cape intending to do a long bicycle trail but were rained out and so wandered around Commercial Street in P-Town. I hope you enjoy the results.
I was stranded up north last night due to a snow storm and grabbed dinner at Margaritas. Bored, eating alone at the bar, I shot this with my iPhone and then played with it with various apps. It seems to fit the theme of VICE.
