Trinity Church

New York City Aug 28-30, 2021 Photographs by Christopher OKeefe

I imagine that at one time Trinity Church was the tallest structure in what we now know as Lower Manhattan. Today, it is dwarfed by the skyscrapers of the Financial District.

A great picture, Chris, as it highlights how even the institution of religion is dominated by the institution of finance, although that may not be why you took the picture! 🙋‍♂️

Such a beautiful capture, Chris! Ashley’s comment is telling, but I like to think the church is holding its ground. This is a really pretty photo.

So impressive. But I can say this, the height is nothing as I can see in this photograph, no one can compete with its architectural splendor. Thank you, Love, nia

I see it as saying to hold on to your roots. At the tip of Manhattan I was surprised to find quite a few old buildings dating back to colonial times. It isn’t all skyscrapers.
