Meet Scarecrow v2.0. The original scarecrow was built in a day and lasted five years. It had no polyurethane protecting it because I’d built it as a lark.
This one was built with lag screws and has four coats of resin protecting it. I hope the resin also keeps it looking nice.
Nice job! Quite the hatππ
Thank you. We’ve gone through a few of those hats. They are pretty cheap on Amazon.
Ah, a perfect accompaniment.π
Mr. Scarecrow hasn’t made an appearance in quite some time!
Well ,the old one fell apart. It took me a while to build a new one.
That explains it! I’m glad to see Son of Scarecrow. I hope we’ll be seeing more of him.
I think you will.
π
A raincoat and an umbrella, nothing else needed. Keep safe Chris!
Thank you, Hien. Will do!
Wonderful, Chris!
Thank you so much, Ashley.
Is it Onree or Henry? Love this character, it’s put me in a mind to do something in our front garden! So, what is he celebrating? Harvest? I must write, I did say I would, ages ago! πββοΈ
It’s Onree, which is trhe name of the storm that’s been in our area for the past two days. Tomorrow, the storm will be gone and our friend here gets a new costume.,
He’s a cutie! Hope you (and the scarecrow) will be OK, Chris.
Thank you so much, Lois.
where is the original one..? you didn’t retire him did you? he’ll be heartbroken ..
He got old and the wood was rotting. He literally began falling apart. I tried to use screws to keep him together but the wood was so soft that they didn’t hold.
What fun. Take care and stay safe!
Thank you. Will do!
How cool is this!! Awesome!!
Thank you, Kirt.
Happy week
Stay safe, Chris!!
Thank you, GP. Will do. We are more used to blizzards than hurricanes here.
Love it!
Thank you, Judy. I hope all is well there.
Cute! Cute! Cute!
Stay safe my friend!
Thank you, Nancy. Will do.
This is how to weather the storm, so to speak. ππ¦
Hope the storm was kind to you and that Woody v1 is resting well.
Thank you, Teri. We made out okay. There was a lot of rain and not until Monday evening.
Phew!!!
Is it still there or has it gone with the wind?
Oh, the scarecrow is still there. I used fresh wood for most of it. He is quite heavy.
Love it! Hope you made it through unscathed. It only clipped us, thankfully.
We heard about it for four days. We were prepared starting Sunday morning. And we got a single downpour on Monday afternoon. That said, Iβm glad we werenβt bearing the brunt of it.
Fantastic
Thank you, Sohair.
