I’ve shown this road in the woods before in spring and summer. Here is how it looks in winter. I was there around noon and a number of hikers and snowshoers had already visited. A color version of the image is below.
Great image. Liz “hit the nail on the head” with that reference to Robert Frost. If you keep showing me these beautiful snow-filled images, I might just have to head up the road to Flagstaff. They got a ton of new snow in the mountains of Arizona last week.
The black-and-white reminds me of Robert Frost’s “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening.”
What a wonderful compliment. Thank you, Liz.
You’re most welcome, Chris!
Yes! I agree, Liz
Wonderful photos, both B&W and in colour!
Thank you, Ashley.
It’s like looking at a film in slow-motion. My mind is conjuring up all sorts of sounds and images. ❄️❄️❄️
Oh, I’m glad you enjoyed it.
I like the black and white version, the most. Both are spectacular.
Thank you so much.
A pleasure.
Loving the snowy day in B/W…feels timeless… sending you joy Chris ~ smiles hedy ❄️🌞
Thank yo so much, Hedy. It’s good to see the snow again.
It’s beautiful❄️
Nice leading lines. 😊
There’s something about that photo that makes me want to walk down that path!
Thank you, Ann. It is very inviting and many people travel it.

Thank you, John. Oh, Flagstaff is great. I only spent a couple nights there but loved it. It would be beautiful in snow.
I liked them both but the black and white is incredible! I just want to grab my snow shoes and go right down that path!
Happy Sunday my friend!
Thank you, Nancy. There were a lot of snowshoe prints there.
Awesome clicks
Thank you so much.
Most welcome
I remember Cow Lane from your earlier shots, cool idea to take pictures through the seasons!
Thanks, Sarah.
