Though not “historic”, this covered bridge is loved by the people in our town. It’s less than a mile from our house. It used to be an entrance into a craft store in nearby Nashua, NH. When the store moved, our town’s road agent acquired the bridge, doubled its length, and put it in place over this small river.

Good-looking use for a former entrance to a store!
Thank you!
I love the first photo, with the red of the bridge interjected in the winter scene!
Thank you, Liz!
You’re welcome, Chris!
Looks like it belongs on a greeting card. 👀🍃
Exactly my thought when I saw that first photo!
Aw, thank you, Gail.
Nice to see things revived into new purpose. Great photo its as if the snow is cresting the bridge like a wave on the sea shore, sparks the imagination.! I feel a poem coming, inspired by your photo! Thank you!
Thank you so much.
Always a pleasure😊
So much snow! Such a beautiful scene. Tranquil. It’s really nice to see a covered bridge again, Chris!
Thank you, Sandra. I’ve wanted to take pics at a couple of covered bridges in the snow but this is our first snow since Christmas.
Not only reuse, but repurpose! Great idea, and they did a beautiful job of it as well.
I agree. It came out beautifully.
It’s a beautiful bridge, Chris. I agree with Gail–it would make a wonderful greeting card.
Thank you, Lois.
A wonderful picture! The snow that landed here one day was gone the next! Looks like you get to keep yours a bit longer!
Marvelous, we don’t have these kind of bridges over here.
Thank you. I’m sure you have many wonderful thing there.
Great captures! And I agree , the first one is a perfect greeting card.
Thank you so much.
So pretty with the snow, what a good idea to make the town more beautiful and not just functional.
A peaceful winter scene, untouched and pure.❤️. Love it!
Thank you. We went for a long while with no snow. It’s nice to see it again.
Aww I love the snow and how it envelopes the bridge. I wish I could be there. Thanks for some wintry scenes.
My pleasure, Garfield. Thank you.
thank you for this beautiful explanation I love the covered bridges and under the snow (your photos are wonderful), it’s so much more poetic
Thank you so much.
Now this is when snow is pretty 🙂
Yes. We got another ten inches of prettiness today. Perhaps I can get out tomorrow for some photos.
Friends and family in NJ said they got close to 32 inches. Enough already!!!

That’s a lovely contrast the red in the snow, almost fairy tale like!
Thank you. I visited another one this past weekend and it was even better.
Looking forward to see the pic!
