We’ve had bluebirds around our feeders occasionally this season. They like the suet we put out but prefer to gather it from the ground when a bit drops off. They really like it when I change out the suet cake and throw the remnants of the old one on the ground.

Great photos of my favorite bird. Are they still around or have they migrated by now?
Thank you. They were arund just the other day. I made this image right after Christmas.
So pretty!
Thank you, Liz.
You’re welcome, Chris.
Lovely little bird.
Thank you so much.
Great close-ups!
Thank you
Beautiful colors and scene!
Thank you so much.
Always a pleasure Chris. Thank you!
We have blue jays, but I don’t think I have ever seen a bluebird before. Handsome little one.
Thank you. We have blue jays too. They are more common than these guys.
Beautiful feathered friends you have.
Thank you, Judy.
What a lovely little bird! Blue is so exotic!
Thank you. They are such a pretty little bird.
These are beautiful captures! Such a sweet little friend. Nice work Chris!
Thank you, Sandra. This was made from our living room window. My wife gave me a bunch of bird feeding supplies for Christmas.
Such a thoughtful gift! And you made these from your living room, wow! I love it.
Stunning shots, adorable blue birds β₯οΈ
We don’t have blue birds here on this opposite side of the world: they are so beautiful, so tiny, so lovely!
Sid
Thank you, Sid. This year is the most we’ve seen them. Typically, we haven’t seen them much.
These are so cute and have a gorgeous colour! I envy your sightings. You could use these photos to create your own Christmas card next year π
Also, how did you manage to take such close ups without them flying away? They must like you haha
That post is about 2 meters from the picture window in our living room. That and a zoom lens helps me get these shots.
Ahh I see, well either way some great shots!! π
Thank you, Hannah.
Youβre most welcome π
Oh how precious they are! I have never captured a bluebird. I have only seen them from afar. Thank you for sharing them with us. βΊοΈ
Thank you, Nancy. They love suet. If they can get suet easily, they will come in droves.
Iβll remember that for when we go back to the LakeHouse.
First time seeing a Blue Bird up close and personal. I now understand Blue Bird Mints and why it is blue in color. Also learnt a new word from you “suet” – thanks!
My pleasure. Thank you!
π
So pretty, I love birds. π¦π¦π¦’π¦©
Thank you. They bring us such joy.
Oh, my! Lucky you! Envious. (Glad to know they like suet as we happened to hang some yesterday for the first time. Fingers crossed!)
Thank you. They are a bit lazy and don’t like to have to work for it. They prefer to gether it from the ground after other birds knock a bit free.
That bird!
What a great capture!
Thank you so much!
so beautiful, I wished to see them in here too. They are so lovely. Thank you, have a nice day, stay safe, Love, nia
Thank you so much, Nia. I hope you stay safe also. Take care.
Pretty little things. Saw my first bluebird this past year. Been contemplating putting out a feed to see what I can attract to photography.
They are pretty. You can get some good shots right from your window if the feeder is close enough.
Will look into it!
These are such a beautiful captures of this lovely bird!
Thank you so much. It took me a long time to get a good image.
I get so much enjoyment from our feathered friends. The bluebirds seem to come and go, which doesnβt surprise me with the landscape they have to choose from. However, the cardinals seem to be pretty regular visitors every day. ππ
Oh, cardinals are also beautiful. Feeding the birds brings a lot of joy.
Iβve noticed the squirrels seem to be pretty frisky right now as well. π
Wow
Thank you. They finally posed for me.
Ahhhh beautiful..i havent seen something like that hereπ
They are pretty. Birds give us such joy. Thank you, Mich.
Beautiful shots! And it’s good to know their food preferences. π
Thanks, Sarah. Yes, knowing food preferences helps to attract them.
Sweetness π we have so few birds now but found some the other afternoon crows βΊοΈπ happy weekending ~ hedy
