I really like this rugged looking little bridge in Portsmouth, NH. Portsmouth is a small city with a downtown and shops and restaurants but when you get over to this area, it’s more like a New England fishing village. And yes, there is even a little fishing pier on the island.
The light looks golden on the left?
Thank you Liz. The sun had just come up over the horizon.
You’re welcome, Chris. I thought it looked like early morning light!
When we would stay at the base of the White Mountain, we would drive out each day on an adventure to the surrounding areas.. you live in an area that is filled with such wonders, and that you are sharing them with us.. is such a joy to me, especially since, now I will not be getting back to explore myself. I truly appreciate you.
Thank you so much. The area does have a lot to offer. I’m glad to hear you enjoy the photos.
Enjoying the golden light… quite lovely!

Nice lighting. Must have been near the golden hour. I always thought Portsmouth was a large city. Gotta travel east one of these days!
Thank you, John. I was literally sitting in my car waiting for the sun to crest over the horizon to take this shot. I hope you make it out this way, sometime.
Rust and light = great photo!
