No, not this guy (or gal?). We have a nice store bought turkey. But this flock is an almost daily visitor now. Tuesday morning, I saw them in the side yard and went out back to put out some corn for them. They come running and in a few cases flying over for some food.
a friend took pictures of two who have come to Canada. the joke is they came to avoid being drafted for thanksgiving meals in the States. Somehow I think they are Canadians and just out looking for a free meal themselves.
Ha ha!
That’s too funny. So the turkeys can cross the border but I can’t? They don’t even have passports!
It’s difficult to imagine turkey’s turning up in my garden! π€£ππ€£
It was unusual at first but like anything, the unusual is becoming routine.
Please, Sir, I want some more.
That’s what they say every day hovering around the back door waiting for me to reappear.
Once you’ve set a food precedent, there’s no going back!
uh-oh..Runnnnn! :p
Ha ha ha – They look really funny when they fun.
The guest of honor! π¦
And no White House pardoning ceremony required.
Impressive birds, as long as they don’t get cranky.
They are pretty well behaved. Thank you, Kate.
π love the title on this post! Have a great thanksgiving!
Thank you so much.
I have cats, birds and squirrels but no turkeys. Darn!!!
I can send a few your way.
They would miss you! π
Guests of honor? hehehe
So to speak.
My daughter’s in-laws are not at all happy that their neighbor is feeding the wild turkeys in their neighborhood. They are now “hanging around” and last spring completely vandalized (by eating or damaging) their, and our daughter’s joint vegetable garden.
Oh no. We have decided that when we stop putting out the bird fedders in March, we will also stop feeding these guys.
Well how fun is that! Gobble! Gobble!

Thanks Nancy. It’s pretty fun.
Great image.. Beatifully made. π·
Thank you. They are not the prettiest bird with their neck out like this but their feathers are beautiful.
Yes π
Cool.
Thank you.
What a great Thanksgiving experience! I am happy that they are not part of your dinner:). I love seeing how beautiful they are in the wild. My favorite thing about turkeys is hearing their “gobble gobble”. Happy Thanksgiving Chris!
Thank you. I often know the turkeys are in the yard because I can hear the distinctive “gobble-gobble”.
Pretty sure you just acquired a new family. They are going to want to keep you. Happy Thanksgiving, Milford Street!
Great title! Youβre so generous! Taking good care of the turkeys. πyouβre a good friend to all.
Thank you, Sandra. They make for funny friends.
Must be such fun seeing them each day! π And so lovely of you to feed them some corn. π¦π
What a good looking fellow! And I’m glad to see that you are feeding them, rather than the other way around.
Thank you Ann. They are a fun addition to our yard. I saw the comment about the Mercado post but I think I accidentally deleted it. Thank you.
