Woods Hole is a village on Cape Cod. It’s where you can take a ferry to Martha’s Vineyard or Nantucket. It’s also home to Woods Hole Oceanographic Instute and the Marine Bilogy Laboratory. It’s quircky with all of the people passing through and what looks like university buildings among the salt box architecture of the Cape.

Beautiful place thanks for sharing this π
Thank you. I like this place a lot and just walking around there.
Ya this place looks cheerful and at the same time peaceful also. I wish in future I too get a chance to visit this place. π
It’s a fun place to visit. It’s in an area with great beaches that is very popular in summer. You must visit someday.

Great photos! I haven’t been to Woods Hole since I was a kid. One of these days, I’d like to take a trip back to Martha’s Vineyard.
Maybe that can be on your post-COVID agenda. My sister went earlier this year for a daytrip.
I quite like the sound of a “post-COVID agenda.”
Beautiful images Chris π―
It’s a great spot to spend an afternoon.
Your remark about the architectural contrast is very true. We always think of Cape Cod as a resort, with casual clothes, but there are also more serious sides.
Yes. There is a serious sides. Besides the institute, there are commercial fishermen, marinas, boat yards, etc. A lot of people make their living servicing eitehr the tourism industry or working on people’s summuer homes.
Oh, Chris, I would love to visit this area. Besides the buildings, the coast, the heritage, the light is wonderful. An artists paradise!
Thank you, Ashley. It’s a very pretty spot. I keep returning there. It maybe the last trip for a while as my parents plan to move in the coming months.
Congratulations on your allusive humans sighting. What a beautiful place to spend a day. Your photos are always wonderful. Thanks.
Thank you so much, sir. I nver thought I’d see a day when seeing humans in Woods Hole would be an accomplishment.
Wonderful photos of a beautiful place, Chris!
Thank you, Sarah.
Incredible photo of an incredible sighting π
Thank yu, Hannah. Have a great weekend.
And you too π
A photo shoot later in the day when the rest of the world is awake? I tease because Iβm just like you. I prefer to be out first thing in the morning too. What a beautiful town! I like the shot that shows the bridge up and the biker crossing the race line. Nice work! Happy Saturday friend!
Thank you, Sandra. I know we are both early morning risers. But I had to go later if I wanted people in my shots. Otherwise, it’s just me and the birds. Have a great day.
Iβm glad you showed up later because the town looks alive and bustling. I like seeing the pedestrians and the work truck. Well done! I hope you have a great day too!
I love your caption seeing people on the street.. and yes, it’s really amazing to see them so many back on the streets again.. not much of them since the lockdown. I haven’t been really going out yet as the cases here is still on the rise… so its a relief to see photos of everyone in WP including yours being able to go out and take some quiet stroll or walk around wherever you are..
Thank you, Mich. I hope that next year the streets can safely be crowded once again.
Ah – gotta love the photo bomber!
And nice day trip – I love seeing menus too because we get a feel for the prices and variety – nice prices too
The photobomber was great. This restaurant looked really good. Yes, the prices here are reasonable and it’s almost all casual dining.
