As I mentioned in an earlier post, I’ve been spending some time at my parents home on Cape Cod. They live on a cove with a marshy area nearby. I spotted an egret in the marsh last week but didn’t have my camera with me. I kept going back with the camera and finally found it again the evening before returning home.

This blue Heron is often in the marsh. This one was gathering some dinner from the grassy area.

And this rabbit was on my parent’s lawn. I often see rabbits there and they are not all that frightened of people.
Such a lovely pictures! Have a great day, Chris.😊
Thank you. You too, Arati.
Great photo. ….if only to live on a marsh in Cape Cod…
My parents have marsh at the back of their yard but it’s too close to the house and the birds don’t come to visit.
Still it would be nice to live in Cape Cod. It’s a favorite destination🙂
It’s really a nice place.
lol was it a female, she just loved having you on the chase =^_^= patience paid off.. waves good morning….
Ha ha ha. Yes. Waves back at you.
Serene!
Thank you so much.
These are wonderful photos! They capture the beauty and grace of the two birds so well.
Thank you so much, Liz. These birds were more used to people and hence more cooperative than the ones back in NH.
Ah, I see! Most obliging of them.
Serenity. 🍁🍂🌾
Most definitely
I love watching the egrets and herons. Sadly, we have no bunnies–that I have ever seen. This one is a cutie.
We are seeing a comeback of rabbits in our area. Cape Cod has always seemed to have had a good supply.
Glad you are spending time with parents. Cape Cod sure is beautiful. Love your photos. Enjoy your break😀
Thank you so much, Garfield.
😁👍
I’ve run into loads of herons including one I’ve never seen before but only one egret this entire year. Glad you get time with your parents.
Thanks Teri. I don’t see many of them which is why I extended the effort on this one.
Beautiful captures! How was Cape Cod this year? We went to Sandwich in July and the place was pretty busy. But some of the favorite seafood shacks were closed.
It’s looked busy. I’ve mostly been at my parent’s house. When I go out on nice days, there are lots of cars and the beach looks pretty full. People seem good about wearing masks.
Yes that’s true. We noticed similar scenes at Ogunquit and Newburyport.
I haven’t been to Newburyport all year. Usually, we go several times a season.
We are lucky to have so many beautiful places around us to choose from.
Wow, these are some incredible photos! The one with the swan looks so peaceful and serene, and the one with the rabbit is a quality shot (and super cute too).
Thank you so much.
It’s a pleasure 🌸
your parents seem to have a wonderful area tp live
and we have had a surge of rabbits in our area – but they are smaller and are afraid of folks –
Thank you. It is a nice area. No shortage of very bold rabbits here.
🙂 – our mail carrier said they made rabbit soup growing up – and racoon stew (‘coon stew)
I’ve heard of both but have never had them.
same here – but in January had a student bring in pig ear’s soup and all this extra stuff and it was good
Lovely captures!
Sigh… Cape Cod life…!
Thank you, Nancy.
Lovely wildlife shots, Chris! Looks like an idyllic place your parents live in. 😀
Thank you, Sarah. It is a really nice place.
The lighting is dreamy, I love it! Excellent!
Thank you Sandra. I made all these images around dinner time. It made for nice lighting. Oh, I accidentally deleted one of your comments. Apologies. I have clumsy fingers.
It’s ok! Don’t mind me. Keep making pictures! 😁
Lovely photos and sharing 🙂
Thank you so much.
