Azaleas – A Sign of Spring

These have been in bloom in southern New Hampshire the past week or so. It’s spring announcing “I’m finally here” even when we had a stray snow flurry on Mother’s Day weekend.

Striking purple! We have a brilliant rich pink variety in our front yard. I think I have a photo in my library. I’ll have to search for it. This is such a beautiful capture! It’s official, spring is here. ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you, Sandra. Iโ€™d love to see your pink one. These are in bloom and seem to be everywhere right now. We have a lot of happy bees in NH. ๐Ÿ

I miss these spring colors. I know the desert is beautiful in its own way but there is something about the blooms of the Midwest and East that tug at my heart.

goodness, here it’s ca. 86 F these days, can we trade the snow flurries for this melting summer in May? I prefer cooler weather ๐Ÿ˜€

Thank you, Alex. That sounds uncomfortably warm for May. A bit of moderation between out two zones is in order but there is no telling mother nature that. Have a great day (or evening).
