Going through my files and looking for a good image or two for today, I found two nice images of trolleys. The top one is from New Orleans. It is along the Riverfront line. Somehow “A Streetcar Named Riverfront” just doesn’t work as well as “Desire”. The colors are really striking on this one.
The one below is from Lowell, MA and is part of the National Historic Park there.
Clang, clang, clang went the trolley!
Oh yes! Good one!
She beat me to it! Great shots 🙂
the colors in the first one are striking indeed 🙂 is it for tourists or a general means of transport there?
In New Orleans, it is for general transportation. In Lowell, it is for tourists. Have a great day, Alex.
Happy shots of two places I’ve never been! Thank you Chris! Be well, friend.
You too Sandra. 😊
Such interesting and aesthetic forms of transport!
Yeah, trolleys tend to be unique in various times and palces. I want to go to Lisbon someday where they have some really cool looking old trolleys. Thank you for stopping by.
Now, those are cheerful!
Aren’t they? They put a smile on my face.
indeed I know I yearning colours and the red is always eye catching….compose a joyful weekend Chris ~ hope you are well ~ smiles and joy your way ☺️🙂 hedy😄
Thank you, Hedy. Have a great weekend.
OK, Tennessee Williams, you’re not. >grin<
Love those old trolleys, but then again, I'm a sucker for anything on rails.
Hey, someone finally commented on my Tennessee Williams humor. Yeah, I like old trolley’s too. There is a street car museum in Lowell, MA but I’ve never been and don’t know how much they have.
Those both look fun! Someday, we will get to ride on a street car again….
I look forward to it.
Your streetcars look much more fabulous than ours!! I bet it’s fun riding in one!
I’ve been on the one in Lowell but not New Orleans. They do look fun. Definitely more colorful than the ones in Boston.
Ours are mainly grey and yellow and not historic looking at all. 😀
Ours are green and also not historic.
