This year marks the 250th anniversary of the founding of our little town. We may be little, but we celebrated big time. The highlight was a two-hour parade starting on..wait for it…Milford Street! We celebrated by decorating our home, hosting family for a cookout and enjoying the parade. As an added treat, the floats and vehicles were lined up before the parade in front of our house. My niece got to explore antique tractors and engines and meet some beauty contestant winners.
Milford Street at it’s finest โบ๏ธ always joyful to join in and your niece also must be enjoying her time with you! have a joyful day in your beautiful town ~ smiles hedy ๐๐ซ
I think our niece had a really fun time.
how cool to have the parade at your doorsteps. Your town sure is old
and I enjoyed scrolling the photos – variety (big green truck and those fun little cars – and Big Bird came out ) ahhhh Americana at its finest –
Thank you. Yes, there was a little bit of everything.
For a small town, you have a fabulous parade with lots of bands… the Mummers, the Liberty Jazz Band on a firetruck, the American Legion Band on a trolley, the Middlesex County Volunteers, a marching band, and probably more that aren’t in your pictorial. I think bands make a parade. Who are the Ghostbusters?
Thank you. There was a lot of variety and some great acts. Iโm not sure who does the Ghostbusters. Oddly, on Sunday mornings I see a Ghostbusters themed vehicle parked outside the local hardware shop. Itโs not the same one but definitely odd to see.
Ah, small town parades ๐ I just love them. Yours looks like it had a bit of everything.
It definitely had variety. There is a definite charm to parades in little towns like this. Cheers
Small town parades are the best! This sounds like a blast.
It was so much fun. Thank you.
Being from a very small town, I love small town parades! You even have the Shriner in the little car.
Iโd prefer this over the Macyโs parade because I love the charm and the feel. They had lots of Shriner cars and clowns. Cheers

How delightful to see your place, Milford Street! There’s nothing like a small town parade.
Thank you. I couldn’t aggree more. Cheers!
How wonderful… and you had front row seats! That green truck was wonderful!
I so enjoy when a small town shows how Big They Really Are!
Thank you, Nancy. Small town, big spirit. Cheers

Is that your cake?! ๐ And how awesome that the parade started in your street and that you got to see all the floats and cars right in front of your doorstep – a photographer’s dream! ๐ Looks like you all had a great day! Cheers
No, that’s another and bigger cake. I have cake envy. It was a pretty wonderful day. Cheers!
Ah no, I know the feeling of cake envy! Although I only have it with cakes you can actually eat – and that look pretty! Mine taste good but look horrible! ๐
My cakes to eat are the same way.
