Last month, we went on The Newport Neighborhood Food Tour with Rhode Island Red Food Tours. There were a total of six stops at very different restaurants. We ate homemade hotdogs with slaw, calamari, Irish bread, ribs, sorbet, deviled eggs, and a few other delicious treats. Our guide gave us a bit of history of the city and brought us to neighborhoods I’d not seen before but would gladly go back to. It goes to show you that it’s worth getting a few blocks away from the touristy places on the water and see the real city. Cheers!
tasty looking Chris 🤓😋 you given me an idea to make deviled eggs…thanks!
What a treat! Looks like there was a great turnout.
They had to add a second tour that day and both sold out. It was fun!
Looks like you had a great day! Love the bikes, sorbet and the funny signs (‘Oh no! Look at the time!’ and ‘Pour Judgement’ – hilarious 😁)!
It was a fun day, thanks. Yes, the signs were great. Cheers
Almost better than a wine tour! I would do this food tour. “Pour Judgement” indeed – clever! Cheers!
I liked that sign too. They did have an option on the tour for mini-cocktails at a few stops.
Look super there!
Thank you. It was a good time. Cheers
Very pretty images ..thanks for sharing Chris !
I did a little Navy duty there once and dined at a great restaurant called The Canfield House. It was great. I just googled it and I see it closed down. Sad.
That must have been a great place for a tour of duty. It’s always sad to see a favorite restaurant is no longer there. Cheers
