Here is the color version of yesterday’s subject. It is the Bunker Hill Monument, which commemorates one of the first battles of our Revolutionary War. I took these sunrise shots earlier this year and am just now getting around to showing them.

So different the glowing stone work in colour!
Thank you. It really looked nice first thing in the morning. Cheers!
Wow! That is so beautiful.
U know Chris in Egypt we have this same building from the time of the pharoes it is called(masallah).
We have more than one in Luxor and Aswan.
Is there any drawings on this stone in the photos.
Ours has heroglophic language on it… some birds… drawings…
Great post indeed!! 😊
Thank you, Soheir. I recall seeing a masallah in Paris. It came from Luxor and had heroglophic writing on it. This is American made with local stone. It may have a little writing in English at the bottom but nothing like Egyptian masallahs. We got good ideas for design from your people. Cheers
Great.
Thank u so much Chris 😊
I love the effects of the different photos showing the obelisk as the sun rises to morning. Nice capture☺
Thank you, Garfield. Cheers!
Love the last picture. Orange and yellow make such a stunning combination !
Thank you, Himali Cheers!
Beautiful in the sunshine! Obelisks seem to unite us worldwide.
We do seem to be drawn to obelisks, don’t we? Thank you so much. Cheers!
The color versions are very good. I like them better than the monochromes.
Thank you. The monochrome was fun but I was out there at dawn to capture the color. Have a great weekend. Cheers
Just as stunning as the BW ones! Love how the foliage of the trees encircle the obelisk!
Thank you. The monument is so tall that it is a challenge to make good images. Cheers
Lovely glowing photo and color brings out a lot of character, Chris.
Thank you so much. I appreciate it. Have a great week.
I’m glad you left a message, I fall behind without reminders. . . Thanks for your visit and this lovely wish, Chris.
