I am a bit light on images these days and decided to recycle this image of a door that I made almost two years ago. I used this on last year’s calendar and a couple of other things. It is the side door to a church on Cape Cod in Massachusetts.
I love the golden varnish finish on that arched door and the contrasting rockwork. I’m always amazed at how stonemasons can create such pleasing rich structures with random rocks.
Very beautiful door and bring back memories, Chris.
I got married at a St Barnabas Episcopal Church in Bay Village, Ohio. My running/teacher brother, Rich, and his wife go there still. π
Oh really!?!? This is a really pretty church. It also has a really beautiful church hall. I want to make more images but getting the lighting right is tricky. Cheers
And beautiful it is.
Thank you so much. It’s a beautiful church but for some reason difficult to photograph in total. I think it has to do with the lighting. Cheers
I love the textures and the colours! π
Oh, thank you. Cheers!
It’s my pleasure! π
Even if you repost again, it is beautiful. Wood texture so nicely doneπ
Thank you, Garfield. Cheers!
I find doors mesmerizing and intriguing. Think about this…if doors could speak, what stories they would share! ππ
I agree. I have a habit of opening closed doors on occasion if I find them mysterious and I am feeling mishievous.
Haha. You have more gumption than I do! π
Very nice textures and composition!
Thank you, Teri. Happy Friday. Cheers
Great shot π
Thank you so much.
Beautiful colours and textures! The wood looks like solidified honey π
Thank you. That’s a great analogy. Cheers
Cool!!
Thank you Soheir, my friend. Cheers!
I don’t think you need more than one image and this one is a strong, golden wood door with an arched peak. Terrific Thursday’s Doors choice, Chris.
Thank you, Robin. Cheers!!!

Oh, thank you so much. They did do an amazing job, didn’t they. Cheers
Beautiful golden hues and textures
Thank you. The contrast of the golden wood of the door really stands out against the stone.

The name is the same but of course, different locations. My oldest daughter was baptized there, too. π
