When we visited Parkers Maple Barn a few weeks ago, they had stopped boiling for a day or two because it was too cold for the sap to run. But we went in and around the sugar shack and I made these images.
Thank you, Hedy. It’s a fun place to visit. We brought friends from abroad who had no idea this is how maple syrup is made. It’s nice to see things with fresh eyes. Cheers!
Brilliant pictures, Chris! The b/w is just perfect for this theme! Ahh- is there anything better than maple syrup? I could literally bath in the stuff! Cheers! π
I loved our aunt and uncle’s local maple festival when we were growing up, Chris. It was held close to Chardon, Ohio. My grandson and his Boy Scout Troup visit every year a place call Lazarus where they see the maple trees “tapped” and eat pancakes with butter and real maple syrup on them. There is a definite delicious and distinctive flavor to the “good stuff.” I may be nearly caught up so will say, good night, friend. π
Excellent pictures.
Oh, thank you so much. Cheers
Wonderful photos!

I hope you had a good nights rest. π
Thank you, I actually did! This post came out well in the tones you chose, fitting an old maple sugar “shack.” π
