This is another image made from our living room window. This chipmunk was hoping for an early spring and was disappointed to come out to a full on blizzard last week. Before the storm really got going, he scrounged around for a bit of bird seed.
Oh, thank you. There is one who comes out daily and sits on the front step waiting for a little bit of sunflower seed. We call him Hoover, the Brit slang for a vacuum cleaner. If you saw him eat, you would understand why. Cheers!
What a cutie!! I just love it! The stripes are adorable as is its little cute face and the lovely eyes. Wish we had chipmunks here also π Wonderful picture, Chris!
I miss the chipmunks and all the other wonderful critters that I fell in love with in Massachusetts far more than is decent. However, I have recently encountered Marmots and Chamoix which has eased the pain very nicely!
That’s the most adorable chipmunk that I have ever seen! β€ Nice shot, as always π

He is too cute!
Thank you, Lois. We keep him and the cat separate for obvious reasons. Cheers
:o) …. ! Very obvious…. !
To us perhaps, but the cat was surprised and disappointed with our policy decision. Cheers
That is one cute chipmunk. Reminds me of Alvin and the Chipmunks. πHmm does your chipmunk sing tooπ
You took a great photo!!
He does not sing per se but makes clicking and chirping sounds. The chirps are alarms. The clicks are to let us know he is ready to be fed. Cheers
Ha ha! You have a “pet” in the wild! Awesome and you know his habits!! So lovely!!π

Thank you, Sarah. They are cute and certainly keep us entertained. Cheers!
I think Hoover is a very clever name π When I watch “my” squirrels thatΒ΄s the same thing I have in mind! π
These small animals bring such joy. π
They do! IΒ΄m always grinning and smiling when I see them π
Poor chipmunk. Don’t they hibernate?
They do and they have a store of food but tend to come out around now looking for more food. Our resident chipmunk eats well from the feeder. Cheers
Ok then! π
Oh sweetness. That snow was unexpected, hope no one was left hungry.
Thank you. He eats well from the food dropped from the bird feeder. Cheers
Poor little guy! But it’s a great photo, and spring will come soon to your part of the country!
Thank you, Ann. We are all waiting for spring. It never seems to come soon enough. Cheers
Too cute!!! β€ β€ β€
Thanks, Ash. I hope all is well with you. Cheers
Good morning! And thanks Chris, better now from an awful flu strain. Yuck. Hope you have a great day! β€ Ash
We had fun. We went to see our 8-year old niece in a production of The Wizard of Oz. I hope you had a great day also. Cheers!
That does sound fun! Children always make plays more fun and unpredictable. π β€
Aren’t they the sweetest! βΊ
They are. We put out food for one and he is a source of much joy for us. Cheers
Most definitely. We love watching them play. Cheers
I really like this shot. I shared it in my twitter feed, a cute way to start a Monday.
Cheers!
Oh, thank you. I’m always happy to have others enjoy my images. Cheers.
What a little babe!
He is a cute one. We have them around the house, the wood pile, the barn, etc. All good fun. Cheers

I knew marmots but had to look up Chamoix. You have some interesting creatures there. Cheers
This is the sweetest picture. What a cutie!! Too bad a blizzard was on the horizon. Very nice shot from your window.
Thank you. We get a lot of chipmunks in the yard and enjoy watching them scurry around. Cheers
Awe. They’re such cute creatures.
He works hard for the nuts! π
He did that day. Today he has a little pile of birdseed on the front steps. π
Your pet Chip?
We call him Hoover.
Hoover????
It is Brit slang for a vacuum cleaner. You should see him eat. π
I kind of thought it might have been referring to the vacuum cleaner π
Very nice shot and cute chipmunk. I hope spring will come earlier for him. Did you give some food?
Thank you. We do put out food for these little guys. Cheers
