It is indeed odd!! Lucky you to have so many walk into your yard. Keep them as pets and decide later if they make great turkey dinners later 😉 or by then, they are great sentries!
Hahaha! Survivors indeed! The title is perfect, especially after Thanksgiving, but as your friends already pointed out, there´s always Christmas… 😉 The shot is really wonderful, I like the intricate feel of the leaves, branches and sneaky turkeys, it all fits perfectly together, especially their wing tips and the leaves – amazing camouflage!
Ah, I see, they´re stuffing themselves for Christmas 😉 Also makes me think, they might be suicidal… walking around the house, waiting for someone to pick them… 😉
But turkey is not traditional on christmas in America, is it? Around here it´s goose, but no one would say no to a lovely turkey 😉 Cheers!
Suicidal turkeys? Interesting idea. I’ve seen a few cross the road in a less than safe manner. Different people and nationalities have different customs here. We are a prime rib family. Cheers!
See? Exactly my point! 😉
It´s the same over here, but traditionalists prefer potato salad and wiener würstchen on Christmas Eve, goose on christmas Day – and the left overs the whole week afterwards 😉 We normally eat whatever we like, but I try to make and effort sometimes and roast something nice and big like a duck 😉 Ahh, those poor vegetarians and vegans… they don´t know what they´re missing 😉 Cheers!
It is odd. They just show up. And unless they do a call (gobble, gobble) you don’t know they are there. A few times I’ve been hiking and spooked a bunch. I was never sure who was more startled, them or me.
Ha! They knew when the coast was clear! Safe till next Thanksgiving ha ha!
Well, a few friends thought they would be good at Christmas or New Years. It is so odd seeing them stroll through the backyard. Cheers!

wow! How cool is this? Chris–I love the post title–perfect.
Thank you, Lois. It was so funny they showed up right after Thanksgiving. Cheers!

Yes, this came out better than I thought it would. I thought they would all just blend in. They were back about an hour ago. They are huge. Cheers!

They had their hiding spot well planned out. I’ve never seen so many together before. Very cool capture!
Thank you. Yes, we get big flocks of them. Cheers!
lol, perfect title… 😀
Thanks, Alex. I was trying to up with something and this seemed best. Cheers!
The revenge of the survivors, it will come… 😀
Great shot!
Ciao
Sid
They may come for me. Yikes! Thanks Sid. Cheers!
Clearly, they knew Thanksgiving was over and it was safe to come out!
They knew…N ow, we’ve seen them two days in a row.
Haha, poor devils, I wish we had a bird that big in our forests. I have seen them once, in Arizona, from our car window.
That’s awesome! Really great shots. So funny to see these guys just wondering around hey! haha.
