This passageway is on the edge of Beacon Hill. I suspect that horses went through here before cars. I enjoy both versions. Which do you prefer?

I like both, too, but I’m leaning slightly toward the one in color.
Yes, it is close but the tones in the color are rather nice. Thank you.
Like the first one. 🙂
Color is seeming popular. Thank you Judy.
It’s very odd for me, but I actually prefer the colour shot, not sure why. Both are great photos.
Thank you. Color seems to be appealing to many. I think it is the tone of the colors. Cheers!
In this case, I like the black and white, which is a bit out of the ordinary for me.
Others said they liked color and found it different than their usual preference. Interesting. Thank you.
Yes, I saw that in the comments and found it interesting that we all seemed to deviate from our norm for this photo.
It’s hard to picture a car driving through there, right past someone’s front door. I like the color photo. The green in the background really draws the eye through the arch. And the brown tones give off a warm feeling.
Thank you, Robin. Nice analysis. I would not want to have to drive through there, even with my little Toyota. Cheers!
Although the black and white sits well with the image, I actually prefer the colour ….
It seems to be really close for many people. Thank you. 😊
Colour, because of the triangle created between the orange sign, the green tree and the reflection in the window.
Wow, excellent analysis. Thank you 😊
Both looks good but the colored one brings out the splendour of the brick works against the shade of green and appears “lively” ☺
Nice thoughts on this. Thank you, Garfield. Cheers!
Both versions are wonderful.
Thank you so much. Cheers!
I prefer color most of the time unless it is an older version already, Chris. This is a neat picture of something rare around here. 🙂
Thank you, Robin. It is not all that common here either. You kind of have to “nose around” to find spots like this. It is actually through the back of an old parking garage…go figure. =)
Oh my goodness! It seemed European in appearance.
Thank you, Chris, for sharing how hard it was to find this. Go figure, an obscure place~ but your artistic compass found it! 🙂
Nice photos. I typically like color but something about the architecture reminds me of an old courtyard here in Pittsburgh with cobbled streets. It could be the familiarity of seeing most of these types of photos in black & white that makes it more appealing to me.
Thank you. That part of Pittsburgh sounds really cool. I love spots like these. Cheers!
Nice capture, Chris 🙂
I prefer horses 😀
Me too. I wonder if the parking garage that is here was a ever a stable. That would be kind of cool. Cheers. 😎
I think it was. You have to check the history of the place. But the archway looks like the one from the building where my dad used to learn at faculty 🙂
Color. Looks like something you would see in London.
Thank you. I know. It’s really tucked away. You kind of have to nose around a bit to find it. Cheers!
What Robin said
Got it. Thanks. Have a great night. 😊
both create different moods….it’s a feeling thing for me…☺️
The black and white 🙂
Thank you!
Blimey! They´re both so beautiful, it is hard to decide. But I think I prefer the color one just the tiniest bit more… 😉 And I wish there would be horse going through it 😉
Occasionally you see mounted police and horse and carriage rides but that is about all in these parts, I’m afraid. Thank you, Sarah. Cheers!
Well, that´s better than nothing 😉 Maybe you´ll be lucky next time and make a shot with one of them getting through the gate! Wish you a very lovely weekend, Chris! Cheers! 🙂
I’ve made images of them before at events but not at the gate. But I live in hope. Cheers!
Hehe! 😉 We all do, don´t we? I´m sure your patience will be rewarded someday! Cheers!
