I’m still going through images from El Salvador. This is one I thought I’d lost but found over the weekend. This man would sit between the school and the market for a few hours each day repairing watches and eye glasses. He was kind enough to let me take this photograph.
I love those serious and presumably extremely acute eyes looking straight at me.
Not a throw away society – I like it. 🙂
Oh no, they use everything. And fix it or repurpose it. Thanks.
I need his help right now!
On the corner of Daniel Hernandez and 2 Avenida Sur. Tell him Chris sent you.
Muy buena foto, Christopher! 🙂
Gracias, Monika. Que tenga un buen dia!
Gracias, a ti también! 🙂
😊
I wonder whether he’d be able to repair my pocket watch… I bought it at the flea market a few years ago. Great pic btw 😉
Thank you. He might, if you happen to be in El Salvador.
Great slice of life there.
Thanks Teri. He was one of many interesting people on that street. Cheers!
It´s a stunning portrait, Chris! Especially with that lovely coloured background and the simple gesture with which he holds the watch. A “timeless” piece of art! 🙂
Thank you so much. Good pun. Cheers! 😃
Such dignity and determination!
I agree – Thank you…Cheers!
