“Unusual” was one word my family used for this image I made in a Provincetown shop last week. “Disturbing” was another. It was odd with these doll heads all on a shelf. But they get one’s attention. The color version is below. Cheers!
Yes, not all art is pretty flowers or adorable animals. It is interesting that an image can evoke emotions on it’s own. There will be something more cheery tomorrow. Cheers.
Yes, both words are perfect for this.
I absolutely love this.
Thank you. It is different for me but I saw it in the shop and thought it would make for a compelling shot. Cheers.
Absolutely unusual! ๐
Thank you. It is definitely different. Cheers.
The color one is definitively less threatening. The black and white reminds me of too many horror pictures of concentration camps.
Thank you. That is a good analysis. The BW does have that same haunting quality.
looks like the heads were cast, and the bdies were to follow, certainly different to see them displayed like that.. good catch..
Thank you. You know, I’ve no idea if they are to go with a body or not. It was kind of a quirky shop vs a doll shop. Odd
I’d add a 3rd word….scary๐จ
Still it is “art” ๐

Agree. It actually for some strange reaon reminded me of the skulls of the Killing Fields in Pol Pot regime. I look forward to tomorrow’s post.
Someone else likened it to a concentration camp. Oh well, a happy image tomorrow. ๐
It is indeed a disturbing shot. And compelling and provocative.
Thank you so much. That means a lot to me. Cheers!
The colours look sugar coated…wonderful โบ๏ธ
“Sugar coated”…yes; I like that analogy. Cheers!
Disturbing to me for some reason. What ghosts are to some , dolls can be to me. I hated the “Chuckie” movies ! Shudder ; )
definitely bw, definitely disturbing, definitely love it…
Good for Halloween. Thanks!
