The Copper Kettle used to be an actual cafe near Boston’s City Hall Plaza. Now the cafe is gone, replaced by a Starbuck’s…but the steaming kettle remains.
Wonderful shot, Chris! What a lovely big kettle! Is there actually steam coming out or do my eyes just trick me? My first thought – damn! one cafรฉ less, but then you said Starbuckยดs took over, so everything is right after all ๐ Cheers!
Thank you,Sarah. All is good as long as there is coffee. . I think as a boy, I had tea with my grandmother here. Yes, that is real steam. How clever, right? Cheers โ๏ธ
“All is good as long as there is coffee” very wise words – Iยดd loved to have T-Shirt printed with them ๐
How lovely for you to remember this place like this!
The steam really is great!! Awesome idea to lure the customers in ๐ Cheers!
We could sell a lot of those tshirts. It is really in a central location for locals and hard to miss. My grandmother preferred the Pewter Pot for tea and muffins. If I recall, it was New England homey inside but no giant kettle. Cheers. ๐
Thank you…I’ve wanted to take a photo for a while but always hoped there would be more steam. I tried waiting for a cold day, but this seems to be the max steam. Cheers!
Hi: Sorry for the slow reply. The comment ended up in my Spam folder. (Bad Google, bad) It is great that they kept the kettle. It makes me smile every time I pass it. Cheers!
Wonderful kettle, wonderful shot!

Dispiace molto che negozi storici scompaiano fa perรฒ piacere che qualcosa di loro rimanga per conservarne la memoria
Anche io. Grazie =)
But the brick-wall-house with its high wooden windows on the background is stunning โค

Thank you, Sid. I really did not notice how wonderful the background is until I was making this image. Cheers!
I love it!
Thanks. Isn’t it great that it is still there. Cheers๐
Yes it is!
It’s a shame Starbucks took over – they’re everywhere, but like you say, at least the kettle is still there.
Yes, so many local coffee shops have gone the way of Dunkins or Starbucks. But you’re right. The kettle remains. Cheers.
I like that
Thank you so much. Cheers!

wondering =^_^= did you polish it prior to taking the picture
I did. It is a service I try to provide to those following my blog. ๐
A golden kettle on a red brick background… What a wonderful shot, Christopher ๐
Thank you, Monica. The copper kettle always makes me smile. Often on my morning shoot, I stop in at the Starbucks to get coffee. Cheers!

Thank you…Me too! Cheers!
So cool! It would be so nice to still have the cafe, but lovely to see the copper kettle. ๐
