It’s a special place and the color of the trees in fall made it perfect. You must have some great old castles in Romania that would be good for shoots. Different than this but still great for shoots.
Shoots are forbidden at Dracula’s Castle? Are you kidding me? OMG! Can you shoot outside?
Once, I toured a salt mine near Krakow Poland and they let you take photos but charged an extra fee. But you could not take photos inside of Wawel Castle in Krakow. Crazy. =P
I’d rather pay a bit more to make my own photos. We tried to take a few sneaky photos inside of Wawel, but they did not come out well. Buckingham Palace also did not let us take photos. =P
I looked on Google. Dracula’s Castle is about 3 hours from you. Have you visited?
When I was little. I don’t remember too much. 3 hours on the map :)) The streets are tight and many people go to mountains in the weekend. To be there is easy, let’s say. But to comeback it’s …. It can take you 5-6-7 hours. It sucks with the car. You’d rather go there with the train.
That’s a really nice one that is mate. It’s got just about everything going for it including the verticals of the trees cutting down behind the arches/love the softness of the leaves down the steps and of course dazzling colour 🙂
That’s a lovely shot. I like the way you’ve framed the staircase, the way it curves through the scene, drawing the eye. The balance of light and shade is good, as well. Isn’t it fantastic, the way nature reclaims the things we leave behind?
Marvellous! Lovely arches and colours! Makes me think of princesses and dragons;)
Thank you, Sarah. We did not see any princesses or dragons but that does not mean they were not there. 😃
Haha! Maybe they were translucent, or really tiny…;)
YES! 👑
Enchanted colours, faerie atmosphere: antique ruins recall knights e armors, duels and wizards.
Stunning shot!
Ciao
Sid
Look at that setting… breathtaking.
A medieval feeling comes over me. I just know a princess is there somewhere looking for her prince!
Ha ha ha Another friend just asked about princesses (and dragons) Thank you Nancy. Cheers.
And she’s buying the stairway to heaven…….. Cool factor = Blown away {which I would probably be If I wandered across this unlooked for !} ; )
Thank you, William. It would be amazing to find this by chance. It took a lot to find it with a map and GPS. Cheers!
Awesome shot and place.
Thank you so much. Cheers!
I remember this photo, loved it back when you first posted it… love it again… there is some magic in this place!!

Looks like an enchanted forest 🙂
It is. There are fairy godmothers.
Oh goodie!
Three wishes my friend. 😉
Let me get back to you on that…must think carefully. I know how this goes 😉
I’m guessing that wish number one is no more snow this season.
Not saying a word yet because I know how those fairies like to get you 😉
Yeah, if you said this season, you’d have it for 4th of July
I love the colors, the shot, the angle… I love everything on this picture 😀
Oh, thank you, Monica. The day we went there was just brilliant. I made many images here. It was lovely. 😊
The picture is incredible. I would love to do one like that 😀

They sell postcards and other photos with the castle so they don’t let you to take photos. I don’t know if you can take photos near the castle.
I’d rather pay a bit more to make my own photos. We tried to take a few sneaky photos inside of Wawel, but they did not come out well. Buckingham Palace also did not let us take photos. =P

Thank you so much for the compliment and great feedback. It is amazing how nature reclaims what we make if we don’t care for it. Cheers!
This is SUPER COOL! I LOOOOOVE stuff like this. Good shot.
