My friend Lois at On Pets and Prisoners (https://loisajay1213.wordpress.com/) nominated me for this challenge. I don’t do a lot of challenges, but the conditions in New England are still not great for pretty photos and I thought it would be fun to do a retrospective of some of my favorite nature images.
This first image was made in March 2015 of Mt Washington in New Hampshire’s White Mountains.
Beautiful! Challenge away, Sir! Looking forward to the other photos you’ve shot! Thank you for sharing!
Are those mountains still there ? I would love to see them ! ; )
Let me take the day off and go check for you.
Thanks, man. ; )
Anything for a buddy. I want to climb that sucker this summer. I’ve done it once before.
I climbed a mountain once….
You enjoyed it that much?
Moved away from the mountains ! Seriously , it was not much of a mountain. Uintah range in Utah. Little gear, lots of critters and gentle enough to get into serious trouble due to lack of paying attention. It did have snow on top in July that year ! ; )
Breathtaking! Looking forward to the next 6!
Thanks Nancy. Me too. I still have to select them. π
What a view! What a shot π
Thank you. Yeah…That was a glorious day and I had scouted out the location on a prior shoot.
Marvellous sky! It feels bristly cold just to look at it;) I look forward to your nexts pictures! Cheers π
Thank you, Sarah. It looks cold but the valley was sunny and not too bad for a winter’s day. I have to go into my library tonight and find some other images. I have some ideas. Happy weekend!
Awesome pic sir.
Thank you so much…Cheers!
Eagerly waiting for you next posts.
I will try to find some good images. =)
No doubt,thank you sir.
Beautiful shot, Chris! Thanks so much for doing this challenge.
So beautiful!
It is sunny here !
Great image Chris!
Thank you, Soheir. It was a gorgeous sunny day when I made this image. The sun kept me warm to take photos. Have a great day. Cheers.
Sun and snow ..wow ..really amazing!!
Have a great day too!
Thank you for the kind wishes. We had snow again the other day. I hope that is all until next winter.
They are really white. Amazing capture π
Thanks, Monica. That is a beautiful spot. Several years ago, I climbed up there. There is a hut near the top and you can stay overnight. It’s a pretty fun thing to do.
That’s nice. Do you stayed overnight?
Yeah. It’s really cool. They are wooden huts with dorm rooms and a staff that cooks awesome suppers and breakfasts. You meet people there from all over the world.
Wow! Gorgeous π
I want to go there someday π
Better come visit in the summer. They are only open in summer.
Aha… OK. π Good to know
It is a strenuous climb to get there but it is so great when you reach the top. From the hut, you can see the top. π
That’s more than beautiful π
Have you climbed mountains? Your winter trip was in the mountains, yes?
Not to much. My parents usually got me to the see, at the beach. Or, in the last years, in other countries. But I like to climb. Yes, my winter trip was in the mountains but we hike, not climb. There was a lot of snow and ice π
It looked beautiful. The sea and other countries are great too. I know you went to Austria. What other countries have you visited?
Bulgaria, Turkey, France-Paris, Spain-Barcelona, Cyprus, Italy-Rome π
Wow. The only one of those countries that I’ve visited is Paris France. Lucky girl β
I know I am π
Thank you π
I’d love to see Italy. Rome, Venice, Florence. π
Mee, too. Rome again because is beautiful. Is a free air museum π
That’s a great way to think of it. For Americans, much of Europe is like that. Our country is so new compared to yours. Everything there seems so old and cool. π
Yes, I know. But I want to see US, too
Where in US do you want to see?
I don’t know. There are a lot to see. New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Washington, Las Vegas, Boston and so on π
There is a lot. And it’s all spread out. Boston, NY and Washington are not too far apart. It’s all fun. You can’t go wrong. π
Good to know π
π
What a beautiful sight!! I’d love to walk around there and go on photo adventures. Thanks for sharing this with us π
Thank you, Monika. It is a great area for hikes and photos if you ever come to this part of the world.
BTW – If I can find cherries, I hope to make the cherry tart you posted the recipe for. It will be a perfect weekend treat.
I really hope I’ll make it there one day π oh, did you manage to find some cherries? π I’d love to hear if you liked it!
There is not a cherry to be found in New Hampshire. I could not get fresh or frozen. But I have the recipe printed for when they are in season. Cheers!
not great for pretty photos? this looks pretty perfect to me:)
Thank you Alex. Now it’s not great. This photo was made a year ago. I’m in reruns.
Well done to Lois for roping you into this. Looking forward to the rest of your shots.
Thank you so much. Time to put up the next image.
