Very nice shot, Chris! I like how the clouds in the background trail unhindered through the sculptureΒ΄s frame and out of it… And what a perfect idea for a sculpture! Cheers!
Thank you, Sarah. I had seem images of this and believed it to be near the lighthouse. I did a quick Google search on my phone and it was only a km away. Definitely, a fun detour. Cheers and have a great day.
Thank you, Monica. It is a sculpture but it would be a cool trick to insert silhouettes like this into images.
Several years ago I made wood cutouts of a baseball pitcher and batter and painted them black to look like silhouettes. They stood almost 2 meters tall. We used to put them on the side of our barn. Cheers!
I don’t know who created this, but it always makes me smile. I’ve volunteered to take several photos of visitors while spending a day there. Love it. π
Thank you…I wish I could capture the silhouette of a real person this well.
Your comment makes me think of those cheesy “real men” jokes, you know:
Q: How many `Real Men’ does it take to change a light bulb?
A: None: `Real Men’ aren’t afraid of the dark.

Those detours are often the best;) Cheers!
Did you paint a painter?
Your photo looks like a painting in a painting, Christopher π
It’s beautiful

Interesting story. You used them like scarecrows?
Thanks for sharing!
Cheers!
Yes, similar to scare crows, but more for decoration than scaring crows or anything else away. =)

It is a wonderful thing. It is the first time that I’ve seen it in person. Kudos to whomever did it. Cheers!
Oh that is cool and dare I say it…I really like the way you’ve ‘framed’ the shot.
Ha ha ha…Very good. Thank you for bringing a smile to my face, Teri…Cheers!
This is what happens when suffering from lack of sleep – the corny comes out π
good on.. liked how you caught the “scene” too..
Thank you…The scene lent itself well for making a photo. Cheers!
I’lll wager that the painter would love to paint the scene you put him in π
Thank you, Osyth. I was fortunate to get a nice sky and sea. Cheers!
Humble – we like this but it IS a really great image π
Thank you. I appreciate it. I’ve seen this image before and always wondered where it was. Luckily when I did a Google search, it was close by. π
It’s an incredible idea. I imagine You could make millions of different photos of the sky and clouds in a frame!
Isn’t it a great idea. When I Googled it to find it, there was a huge sailboat in the frame of an online image. Cheers!
for a sec I thought it was the silhouette of a real man … nice capture, Chris π

This is great!
Thank you so much. It likely owes more to the sculptor than myself but it is a wonderful idea. Cheers!
