I post the color version of this photo (see below) the other day. Alexandra saw it and asked about a monochrome version. Here it is. I really like it, even though I usually enjoy the color of brick. Perhaps it is the more stark contrast between the brick and the door that appeals to me as well of the focus on the distressed look of the door. What do you think?
I like the b&w one better. It pulls out the textures and details more.
Yeah, I think so too. The color is more of a distraction.
But the color has such a mellow, almost sepia tone to it, that really enhances the age of the brick. I am trying more and more B&W, also. I kind of like it, too!

I prefer the color myself. Either one thoroughly debunks the idea that graffiti is art, IMHO.
