Prima donnas always drive me crazy and should be fed to fine young cannibals. 😉
I really enjoyed spending time here when I visited a friend in Poland last year. We were about a 15 minute tram ride away and visit nearly every day that we were in town.
A trio of great pretenders (perhaps they could do a cover of The Platters song). They are reenactors at the OK Corral in Tombstone, AZ.
One thing I like about cycle touring is the sense of being able to control your own destiny. Sure, fate throws big hills and bad weather your way some days but you control how you deal with it. BTW – Fate also gives you beautiful days and scenic views.
This weekend many of the maple sugar houses (aka sugar shacks) in New Hampshire had open houses. I visited three and enjoyed a pancake, a hotdog boiled in sap, maple caramel popcorn, maple cream, maple cookies and maple candy. The various shacks showed off how they gather the sap and the evaporator they use to boil the sap into sweet syrup. Steam comes from the vents on the roofs of the shacks, because it takes 40 gallons of sap to make a gallon of syrup for your pancakes.
