What better than a butterfly to show ‘metamorphosis”. This was taken in a park in White River Junction, VT, which has this wonderful sculpture of a flock of geese. I’d hoped to have this goose a bit more out of focus but the butterfly did not cooperate and left before I could get additional shots.
This is the rear exit from Buckingham Palace into the Gardens. While I’d love to say the Queen had us over for tea, the reality was that she was on holiday in Scotland and we paid to tour the palace’s state rooms.
This couple striding purposefully through a snow storm with their musical instruments was really striking. It took some fast shooting to capture this image. Given that he is wearing his tuxedo, I dubbed him “The Maestro”.
This man outside a shop in South Beach was reflecting on his smart phone, which cast this interesting light on his face. “Rockhair” was a sign in the window next to him and seemed a fitting title for this shot.
Okay, while Barclay’s cycles were fun, I don’t cherish them. But this photo represents a wonderful journey this summer with my wife, whom I do cherish. She graciously accompanied me on some evening photo shoots (like this one) and several times, we hired these bikes to get around London.
