What better than a butterfly to show ‘metamorphosis”. This was taken in a park in White River Junction, VT, which has this wonderful sculpture of a flock of geese. I’d hoped to have this goose a bit more out of focus but the butterfly did not cooperate and left before I could get additional shots.

Last winter, we spent a week in Tucson, AZ. In the mornings, I would go out hiking in the hills west of town to take photos. I so enjoyed watching the sun come up in the desert.

This couple striding purposefully through a snow storm with their musical instruments was really striking. It took some fast shooting to capture this image. Given that he is wearing his tuxedo, I dubbed him “The Maestro”.

This man outside a shop in South Beach was reflecting on his smart phone, which cast this interesting light on his face. “Rockhair” was a sign in the window next to him and seemed a fitting title for this shot.

Okay, while Barclay’s cycles were fun, I don’t cherish them. But this photo represents a wonderful journey this summer with my wife, whom I do cherish. She graciously accompanied me on some evening photo shoots (like this one) and several times, we hired these bikes to get around London.
